The Italia says the crisis only began in 2008 but was not the government's mismanagement and bad planning had been aggravating ja ja awhile type the scandals of Silvio Berlusconi the parents was seen with different eyes by investors, logical and real estate crisis gave accelerated.
ReplyDeleteBut the country is already rising.

In the legislative elections in February 2013 won the populism of Beppe Grillo, a former comedian turned into digital guru and leader of the Five Star Movement (M5S), and Silvio Berlusconi, head of the rightist alliance People of Freedom (PdL), and ex-Italian Prime Minister longest post-World War II.
ReplyDeleteAlthough Pier Luigi Bersani, secretary general of the leftist Democratic Party (PD), has won the Chamber of Deputies, Berlusconi won a majority in the Senate. In turn, the election of Grillo, proposing a referendum against the euro, was the most voted peninsula apart.( I made a research, and found some information about this.
(And I was curious and looking for something about the political system in Italy). Due to a complex political system in which the premier must obtain a majority in the Chamber and Senate, the formation of a new government will be at least difficult.
Mario Monti, the current premier of a technical government installed in late 2011, will continue in office for a period that could last six months, when, if the current impasse is not resolved, would be called new laws.
These six months were at least unstable.
And on Thursday the 7th of March, Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, also communications magnate, was sentenced to one year in prison for violating the secrecy of instruction at Unipol case, judicial sources said.
Leticia Casarotto Trevisan
The text basically speaks of the difficulties that Italy ta going after the parliamentary elections and Mr. Bersani acknowledges that the country runs some risks. The final results show that he managed to win the camera, but no party was able to take the Senate, and therefore the commentators are afraid to return to political instability not only in Italy, as in other European countries. To make matters worse, the stock has fallen and debts increased, which meant that analysts warned us about possible new elections.
ReplyDeleteMr. Bersani then proposed a deal with other parties for basic reforms, but analysts said that would be a possible opening for movement M5S, whose leader is the Beppe Grillo, who ta winning several seats in both places.
Therefore, according to the constitution, elections are 20 days away and with the Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, the parliament would make negotiations to form a new government, but the European commission said that even aware of the concern of people who vote, she expects Italy to follow the plan to reduce costs and make economic reforms.
In elections, Silvio Berlusconi surprised the speculations of the vote, coming very close to winning the camera, just getting in front of Beppe Grillo. With that, Grillo made a speech saying that it is not against the world, but they (M5S) will review the proposal and a proposal will find options compatible with their program.

Italy, a European country and one of the participants in the euro zone, was again commented on the media for their political impasse promoted the elections held in February 2013.
ReplyDeleteThe center-left coalition led by Pier luigi Bersani got the asolute majority in the House but not the Senate. Have Movement 5 Stars, comedian Beppe Grillo, won a quarter of the votes in both clambers and can pass it to a government solution. However, not conquest majority of parliement caused a deadlock in the formation of a secure and stable government, threatening the good governance of the country.
This negative outcome of the elections, where uncertainly prevails on structural reforms that were underway in Italy, leads not only results in its domestics economic and social policy, but also affects and concerns the countris taking part in te euro zone, it creates a feeling of instability and creates the tension and fear of a new recession and worse by which Italy had passed, as an example we can mention is the credit crunch and rising external debit.
Curiously searched a bit more about the policy and its consequences Italian and found the call Fitch (according to my research, ratings agency Fitch means risk)that dowgraded Italy's credit raiting to analyze this period imapasse Italian politic. Also a concern is also related to the lack of investor interest and the possibility of rekindling anew euro crises, mainly affecting contries and potentially lower that not even left their own crises .
It shoud be noted that a weak government has less ability to respond to domestic and external shocks.

Italy was in a political impasse worrying for the rest of Europe in February 2013. The impasse (insuperable difficulty) occurred due to lack of a clear winner in the legislative elections, as recognized by the centre-left leader Pier Luigi Bersani, who appealed for help to the movement contestatory the former comedian Beppe Grillo.
ReplyDeleteThe candidate- left the post of prime minister was expressed for the first time since the announcement of the results and launched a gesture of openness toward the Movement 5 Stars, who won an astonishing 25% of the votes in Parliament. Bersani evoked expensive themes to this training, as institutional reform, reducing the costs of politics, morality and protection of the most disadvantaged, making an appeal for Grillo to tell him "what he wants for the country." The left will defend their proposals in Parliament, where "everyone will assume their responsibilities’’ said Bersani.
The Movement 5 Stars will ally with other training, and will examine reforms, "Let's analyze, reform by reform, law by law. If there suggestions compatible with our program, we will evaluate, now is not the time to talk about alliances’’ said Beppe Grillo. These statements suggest a possible vote of support for laws submitted by a leftist government, without a formal agreement with the Democratic Party (PD), which has a majority in the council.
The financial markets reacted negatively to the impasse about the future government of the third largest economy in the euro zone. The big loser of the elections was the ‘’darling of Europe’’, Mario Monti, who received only 10% of the votes. This would need an alliance between the PD Bersani, the People of Freedom of Berlusconi and Monti centrist. The political fate of Italy is indeed in the hands of President Giorgio Napolitano, who can judge this situation very unstable and prefer to appoint a new transitional government technical before new elections.
Pedro Henrique Chinaglia
The political Italy situation is an a impasse since the legislative elections held in February 2013 didn't had a clear result. On one side, the center-left coalition led by Pier Luigi Bersani, whose achieve the absolute majortity in the Chamber of Deputies, but not in the Senate. Bersani's coalition got 29.54% of the votes, against Sivio Berlusconi's coalition (right-wing People of Liberty/Notrhern League) won 29.18% of the votes. While the Movement 5 Stars (led by the comedian Beppe Grillo) won just 25% of the votes.
ReplyDeleteAdmittedly that Italy will not leave this politican impasse in next weeks, because both sides refuse to form alliances and until that happens Italy won't have a defined government. In the last days, the agency Fitch had announced downgrate Italy's credit rating of A- to BBB+ proved by one of the deepest recessions in Europe last year.
Guilherme Teixeira.
Since last month the Italy is going through a political deadlock, the center-left led by Pier Luigi Bersani who are the majority in Camara, both Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, called and asked for attention of the 5 stars movement goup's leader, Beppe Grillo, who managed various places on Camara to submit their ideas of government, because of stability the parliament is only possible when there is only a majority in both Camara for the formulation of government. Bersani presented to all the willingness to receive support from other parties to try to formulate an institutional reform, reducing the costs of politics, morality and protection of the most disadvantaged and thus influence the rest of the parliamentarians in the two Chambers which are divided.
ReplyDeleteThe Italian parliament is divided between four coalitions of the center-left of Pier Luigi Bersani, the center-right of Silvio Berlusconi, the Movement of 5 Stars, led by comedian Beppe Grillo, and the coalition of the center of the current Prime Minister Mario Monti .
Europe is worried by the lack of an internal policy that most worry about the current situation in the Euro zone, after all what need is less of an internal instability, because if something happens the third largest area, with the remainder wronged.

The Sequestration Showdown
ReplyDeleteThe “Sequestration Showdown” that is happening in the USA, is the continuation of what was avoided in the spring of 2011. In other words, it’s a set of tax increases and spending cuts, which aims to tackle the government debt and the budget deficit of the state. There is a very simple reason why this is happening: most Republicans don't want to raise taxes.
There is a fear that the increase of taxes combined with a deep cut public spending, creates a devastating impact on household budgets and business.
Among the measures adopted by the government, half are cuts in the military, which will have a huge impact on jobs, but the cuts will be felt mainly in states with large numbers of military contractors.
The other half, are cuts in domestic discretionary spending, which will largely affect lower-income Americans.
By some estimates, the cuts will cause a half-point decline in GDP and will cost the economy a million jobs over the next two years.
Democrats predict the automatic cuts could soon cause air-traffic delays, meat shortages as food safety inspections slow down, and hundreds of thousands of furloughs for federal workers.

ReplyDeleteWhat's happining in italy is a political impasse. Because in the last poll the winner, Pier Luigi Bersani, didn't achieve the necessary number of integrants in both chambers, what's must to form a government.
The centre-left leader called for a union with others political groups and Five Star Movement (m5s) is a good candidate, because it won lot seats in both houses. However the leader of M5S, Mr. Grilo, didn't show interest in this coalition and in your blog he post: ''The M5S is not allying with anyone.''
But while this situation is not resolved the Italy stays "stoped" and suffering the longest recession in two decades.

In February, there were elections to choose a new government in Italy, but after two days of elections, the coutry was in a political impasse, so the parliament has not announced a new government.
ReplyDeleteThe center-left alliance of Pier Luigi Bersani earned the most votes in the chamber, but did not reach the required number of votes to control the Senate and form a government.
Recently the Italian parliament met for the first time after the political impasse, but not yet solved the problem and will probably have new elections in the country.

ReplyDeleteWhat's happening in Italy is known as a 'political impasse' which means a disagreement has taken place in the nacional elections to determine the new members of the chamber of deputies and to the senate in the elections of February 2013, what happened was that there wasn't a clear winner in the elections because Mr Pier Bersani's party had won the lower house but hadn't been able to win the higher house which will create political instability in Italy and could also end up having an affect on Italy's economy and also the Euro zone which is still trying to recover from the debt crisis

Italy's lasting economic recession is resulting in a political impass as shown by last month's election. Center-left leader, Pier Bersani and his coalition were able to win a majority in the lower house, but not in the upper house. In order to pass the economic reforms needed, a majority in both houses are required. The large anti-austerity vote is a reason for concern, but the European Commission expects Italy to stick to its budget cuts. The Five Star Movement (M5S)won dozens of crucial seats in both houses, but refuses to take sides.

ReplyDeleteThere's an impass happening in Italy right now, they're drifting without any government power, basically.
This impasse is happening because of an inconclusive election, which one is afecting directly at the country economics.
This is happening at least for thirty days, and nobody knows how long this tolerance will last.

Italy is in a political impasse since the elections due in February, hasn’t had a result. The Five Stars Movement, with the leader Beppe Grillo was the party that obtained the highest number of votes in the legislative election, but finished third in the chamber of deputies, which had the leadership of the party Pier Luigi Bersani coalition of the left, followed by Silvio Berlusconi of right coalition.
ReplyDeleteEven getting the leadership vote in the Chamber of Deputies, the coalition of the left, hasn’t obtained the relative majority in the senate, but it must have the approval of both Chamber.
The political uncertainty in Italy raises alarm across Europe, and if there isn’t agreement among the three parties, Italy must spend more time under a caretaker government. Italy, the third largest economy in the Eurozone has little ability to cope with a political crisis.

Italy, the eurozone’s third biggest economy, is living a political impasse after an election without results in february. It served as a warning to Italy that need to stimulate the growth of your economy.
ReplyDeleteThe italian impasse is being accompanied by investors, who are aware of the increase in borrowing costs since the crisis that brought down the Silvio Berluconi government in 2011.
Pier Luigi Bersani, Italy’s centre-left leader, won 29.54 per cent and Silvio Berlusconi won 29.18 per cent in the vote and Giorgio Napolitano, Italy’s president, asked that the centre-left leader Bersani tried to win support in parliament and generate a government.
Bersani doesn’t want to form a coalition with Berlusconi, the second largest force in parliament, even the center-right saying that their union is the only way to provide a government for Italy.
If an agreement to form a government doesn’t happens, italians will return to the poll.

The impasse after an election in February and indefinite threat of months of political instability caused alarm throughout Europe and warnings that Italy can’t afford to delay reforms urgently needed to boost its poor economy.
ReplyDeleteAlmost all votes counted, it is not possible to determine what the next government of Italy. The center-left coalition was the most voted, but the right has a majority in the Senate.
The parties have so far failed to find a way out of the impasse created by the election, which left the center-left majority in the House of Representatives, but without enough seats to control the Senate and form a government.
"It's hard to imagine any solution that does not involve going to the polls," said former Industry Minister Paolo Romani. Aware of the threat of instability, President Giorgio Napolitano released a statement saying Monti would remain in office until a new government is formed.

After an election inconclusive, Giorgio Napolitano initiated consultation with the leaders for to resolve impasse.
ReplyDeleteThis situation left the Europe in alert, because rekindled the fears about a revival of crisis of debt on zone of euro.
The impasse is between 3 party, the center-left bloc, center-right and the centrist group of prime minister.

Spending cuts in the U.S.
ReplyDeleteSince the beginning of the month had already been planned and enacted by Republican Mith McConnell made it clear that it was not open to negotiations to revise its decision, the cuts were provided up to $ 85 billion this year and $ 110 billion for the next 9 years, the White House was forced to cease sightseeing because of staff shortages, which should be cause for unity among all to find a common good seems to be fueling an internal fight between Republicans and Democrats because of different views on the subject . The first consequence logo appears at airports with growth of queues cuts in customs and transport. Obama after signing the law has spoken and said he was sorry for having done nothing against the ruling Republican and said it was a wrong decision, 800 000 is the number of employees of the Department of Defense who owed stay 1 day per week without receiving and navy reduced the output of ships also, Obama closes by saying I am not a dictator, I am president, could have forced the Republicans to make the right decision!

Italy, the third largest economy in the euro area, has experianced a stalemate election. The people went to the polls to re-elect the Parliament and the results have created an impass. In the House of Commons, Bersani got the majority (29.54% - 340 seats) against the center- right coalition led by Berlusconi. In the House of Lords, both sides are virtually tied, unable to win a majority. As a result Bersani wants to propose an alliance with the Five Star Movement (M5S), which has emerged as a third force, led by the comedian Beppe Grillo. If Italy does not hold new elections it will have to form a grand alliance in order to obtain a working government, however that will not be easy since Grillo refuses to takes sides. This impasse is of great concern, because if no solutions are found, it may harm the economy of other countries in the euro zone, which are already in crisis.

Italy, which faces an economic crisis that increased its debt to the same level as Greece's debt, now passes for one of the worst political moments in recent times.
The Social Democrat, Pier Luigi Bersani, of the Democratic Party, won a majority in House of Representatives, differently in the Senate where the party "The People of Freedom", controlled by Berlusconi, won the most numerous bench.
In Rome, the consensus is that Bersani will form a minority government that will last for a short time, perhaps a few weeks.
Italians have no prime minister, the president is stepping down, the police chief is licensed by health problems, and also the recent resignation of the Pope in the Vatican. There is no more any government.
The Italian president, Giorgio Napolitano, requested on Saturday (03/30/2013), to two restricted groups with different characteristics present a program of government with reform proposals. In order to try to end the political impasse, that was caused by the complexity of Italian political system.

ReplyDeleteAlready undergoing a financial crisis along with the European Union, Italy has yet another problem to deal with: its political impasse. The country had indecisive results in its last elections, with Bersani's party having the majority in the House and Berlusconi's party with the majority in the senate, and consequently neither parties can form a proper government. With this, a shadow of insecurity surrounds Italy, not only domestically, but internationally, with investors too afraid of the turns Italy's government may take, which would certainly influence Italy's economic policies and possibly damage several investments.
To worsen their situation, the resignment of the Pope has had a considerable effect on Italy, the Vatican being strongly linked to Rome, adding more chaos to the turmoil. Bersani was willing to admit that the result was a defeat, but still refuses to give in, claiming his party is the only suitable to form a governmant and open the way forward. Bersani's and Berlusconi's parties must reach an agreement (something that, according to Bersani, is "not feasible"), otherwise elections may be once again held in Italy in the next few months. Meanwhile, Italy's credit ranking has been reduced by Fitch to BBB+, becoming one of the lowest rated countries in Western Europe and emphasizing just how serious their current situation is.

The Political Impasse in Italy
ReplyDeleteThe political elections in Italy brought great economic instability to the country. Being the third largest economy in the Euro zone, this generates a great concern for the financial markets and to the European Union(EU), which lives in a state of alert due to the economic crisis.
Owing to the huge political austerity endowed by the last government of Mario Monti, in which chiefly directed toward a policy of spending cuts in the social sector with strong discipline in spending control and an attenuated corruption, rebelled in the population a great dissatisfaction of the current government.
As a form of protest the italian comic, Beppe Grillo, created the Party "Movement Five Stars" or M5E showing the discontent of the italians. What many people didn't expect it would have a high popularity, coming to stay in 3RD place in national elections in the country.
As we know, M5E of Grilo didn't win majority in the elections.
The party with the largest popular vote was the "Democratic Party" (PD) center-left led by Pier Luigi Bersani, along with his victory in the elections him Party won majority of seats in the Chamber. However, the political impasse is due to 2ND place in the elections, the "Party People for Freedom" or PPL, center-right led by Silvio Berlusconi, who won a majority of seats in the Senate because he had a majority of votes in some italians provinces which gives him the right to have a majority in the Senate by the Italian rules.
With the majority of the center-right party in the Senate, hampers a center-left government for Bersani, preventing the formation of a government more homogeneous.
Bersani tries a coalition with M5E of Grillo that can increase the influence and the political power in opposite of Berlusconi's Party. Trying to get out of the political impasse, which destabilizes and causes fear for the Italian economy and consequently the European Union.

ReplyDeleteIn the United States is expected a large cut federal spending to reduce the public deficit. This cut is considered by many people, exaggerated, and citizens is worrying that because it happen indiscriminately. The cut aims to reduce about US$ 85 billion of public services. So it is not considered a big deal.
Marina Sansão Fortes
On March 1 came into force blocking U.S. spending that assumes a cut in government spending of 85 billion for the coming months, also known as 'kidnapping' by functioning as a kind of confiscation, the trigger determines reduction about 8% of expenditures for each federal agency public until September. Much of the spending cuts will be military and social. The court may impede U.S. growth bringing strong impact on the expansion of the labor market and GDP growth. Some of the effects are already visible, such as the expected increase in queue at airports. The government warns that the impact will be large in aerial border protection, food inspection, education programs, transportation operations, payment of medical procedure and preservation of parks. The text talks about the election results in Italy, and the political impasse that has created this election.
ReplyDeleteThe big winner of the polls in Italy is the comedian and blogger Beppe Grillo. He rocked the country's political system with our Five Star Movement, which first ran in national elections, garnering votes in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, with results that abut those of the great alliances of the center-left and center- right.
The Five Star Grillo have 54 chairs. The left can, along with the small party of Prime Minister Mario Monti yet, add 131 senators. And the alliance of center-right Berlusconi reaches 116 chairs.
However, the magic number, which represents a parliamentary majority is 158 seats. And the next head of government of Italy will need the approval of the Senate to even assume power. That is, if you really want Bersani become prime minister, will have to develop some idea to get a majority in the Senate.
For the Chamber of Deputies, the center-left parties around Bersani had a vote minimally superior to the alliance of center-right Berlusconi, with 29.54% of the votes against 29.18%. But, due to the bizarre Italian electoral law, still won a majority of 340 seats, against only 124 MPs to the side of Berlusconi. The House, however, is not enough to keep a government, because the Senate has exactly the same powers.
Bersani, who will probably receive the mandate to form the next government, intends to continue, more smoothly, the reforms initiated by Monti. The socialist agree that Italy has to maintain control over your debts, totaling almost 130% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). However, he wants to reduce the tax burden of employees and increase the wealthiest.
Another possibility is that President Giorgio Napolitano after a possible failure of attempts coalition, leave the technocrat government of Mario Monti in power. Or dissolve Parliament in a few months and call new elections. As Napolitano will leave office next May, such a step would entail some missteps to Italian politics. After all, he almost can not dissolve a Parliament which, according to the Italian Constitution, should choose his successor.'

ReplyDeleteItaly is an european country, it represents the forth greatest economy in the euro zone.
They are having an election impasse at the moment, which compels the negotiation between political forces in order to criate coalitions that makes possible the criation of a government with the majority in both houses of Parliament as it is necessary to get the majority of the votes to approve laws.
Pier Luigi Bersani had promissed to continue the reform started for Monti, but he had suggested that the austerity political in Europe has to promote more employments and an economical increase. Up to now the poll have suggested Pier Luigi Bersani as the winner.
